Awards and Recognition

The award will be presented annually at the AHC Awards and Recognition event. To recognize lifetime membership, the recipient's picture will be placed on the 'Wall of Honor' in a prominent location with a brief description of the recipient's contributions.

The recurring annual award of $10,000 is subject to IRS regulations and may incur a tax obligation. The financial award will cease once an individual leaves his/her position at the University, either by termination or retirement. If an individual returns to the University in another capacity, the financial award will not continue.

The Office of the Senior Vice President for Health Sciences will be responsible for the administration of the Academy for Excellence in the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning.

**Any member of the AHC FCC nominated to the Academy for Excellence will not be eligible to serve on the Screening Committee.
